Also, a new range of small non-hybrid Eco-cars, known as “K Cars” in Japan, are now available from The Clean Green Car Company.
K Cars are the culmination of 40 years of car development under stringent Japanese design rules* (see below), and are unrivalled in efficiency, design and ergonomics. Despite their compact size, the interiors are astonishingly roomy and will comfortably seat four adults. This, combined with their small turning circle and zippy performance, makes them ideal as an urban commuter.
We are currently stocking Daihatsu Miras imported as near new vehicles (some have travelled less than 100km). The Mira is renowned for both its reliability and its fuel economy (4.0 – 4.6 L/100km), which matches or exceeds even hybrids and small diesels. They come fully optioned, are available as automatics or manuals and in a range of colours, and have front and rear leg room that defies belief. Performance is comparable to other small cars with good urban and motorway capability.
Another Eco-car available is the Daihatsu Sonica. The Sonica is the flagship of

* K Cars must be less than 4.4m long and 1.5m wide, and have an engine no larger than 660cc. In Japan, K Cars have lower annual registration fees and road tolls, and are exempt from the requirement to certify that adequate parking is available for the vehicle.
